Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods Substances and Articles
Class 9 Hazmat covers substances and articles that present hazards during transportation but do not fall under Classes 1–8. Officially known as hazmat class 9 miscellaneous, this category includes environmentally hazardous substances and other materials that pose transport-related risks.
Unlike flammable or corrosive goods, Class 9 hazards often arise under specific conditions such as leakage, temperature exposure, magnetic interference, or environmental impact.
Despite its perceived lower risk, Class 9 hazmat remains fully regulated under IMDG, IATA, ADR, and national authorities.
