Shipping Requirements
When shipping hazmat Class 3 flammable liquids from China, compliance starts long before your cargo reaches the port. Here’s what you must prepare:
1. UN-Certified Packaging:
Each container must meet UN performance standards, designed to prevent leaks or explosions during transit.
2. Proper Documentation:
You’ll need a Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods (DGD), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and transport approval forms.
3. Segregation & Handling:
Flammable liquids must be kept away from oxidizers, corrosives, and heat sources, especially during ocean or air freight.
4. Mode-Specific Regulations:
– Air Freight: Follow IATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations).
– Sea Freight: Comply with IMDG Code.
– Land Transport (USA/EU): Follow DOT 49 CFR or ADR guidelines.
